Ti UK recently completed the overhaul of the temperature sensors of the vessel's cargo tanks. The cargo tanks were of Bilobe type A tanks. Owing to the difficulty in access as well as the challenging duration of availability Ti UK engineers used IRATA approved rope access technicians to carry out the necessary repairs. Replacing the cargo tanks temperature sensors as well as the cargo tanks cryogenic insulation.
This avoided expensive and time-consuming scaffolding to be installed and allowed the vessel to depart the dry-docking at West Sea Shipyard, Viana do Castelo, Portugal on time & no threat to the docking period. This is the 3rd vessel Ti have overhauled the insulation system for the ship management company Bernhard Schulte.
