On August 5th, Nantong CIMC Sino pacific Offshore & Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "CIMC SOE") successfully shipped the first 4,600 cubic meter LNG shipboard fuel tank (Project No. T128) built for NAMURA Shipbuilding Co.,Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "NAMURA") from its Qidong wharf. Ti China delivered the cryogenic insulation system as well as the TCS insulation. Ti group are undeniably the biggest type C tank insulation maker in the world.
It is understood that the project is classed by NK and the FGSS system integrator is SUNBO, a South Korean company. The fuel tank measures 32 meters in length and 14 meters in diameter, with the combined weight of the tank and its cradle totalling approximately 530 tons. It will be installed on a Newcastle max bulk carrier being constructed by NAMURA.
