Following our successful collaboration on the world’s first stacked bilobe LNG tanks with CIMC SOE, we are proud to announce a new milestone: the delivery of thermal insulation systems for four 5,100 m³ Type-B LNG fuel tanks (Serial Nos. T145, T146, T170, T171), classed by Nippon Kaiji Kyokai (NK), for Dalian COSCO KHI Ship Engineering Co., Ltd. (DACKS). These tanks will power an eco-friendly VLCC (Very Large Crude Carrier) for globally renowned clients, reinforcing our role as a leader in cryogenic insulation for marine fuel systems. Insulating the largest single-unit LNG fuel tank ever deployed on a Chinese-built vessel (5,100 m³), enabling an unprecedented 19,000-nautical-mile cruising range in LNG mode (equivalent to 0.88 laps around the equator). Developed tank-specific insulation blueprints aligned with DACKS’ stringent requirements, optimizing structural integrity during lifting, installation, and vessel operation. This VLCC sets new environmental benchmarks, reducing emissions and positioning it among the world’s most advanced dual-fuel crude carriers Leveraged lessons from CIMC SOE’s stacked bilobe project to preemptively address technical challenges, guaranteeing on-spec and on-time delivery. This project deepens our partnership with DACKS—a top-tier international shipbuilder—and serves globally recognized vessel operators committed to decarbonization.
