Through Ti’s innovative engineering, a new bracing structure was added to the existing cryogenic insulation on the type C cargo tanks that vastly reduced the removal of old cargo tank insulation and new insulation was applied to over 5,000m2 on the cargo tanks. The insulation refurbishment has lowered the vessels BOR of the cargo tanks increasing the benefit to the operator over the vessel’s lifespan.
The vessel now in operation undertook a check-up on the insulation condition with thermal imaging of the vessel offshore of Indonesia. The repair method proved to be robust & working well with zero failures.
