We are proud to announce the award of a contract to supply thermal insulation systems for six ultra-large ammonia fuel tanks (Serial Nos. T198–T203), classed by Lloyd’s Register (LR), for Beihai Shipbuilding’s ammonia dual-fuel VLCC newbuilds. These tanks—the world’s largest ammonia fuel containment systems—represent a critical leap in zero-carbon shipping and demonstrate our leadership in next-generation marine fuel solutions. Engineered insulation for record-breaking ammonia tanks (capacity undisclosed per client confidentiality), designed to meet stringent safety demands for ammonia’s toxicity and corrosivity. Conducted joint technical analysis with CIMC SOE to optimize insulation layer thickness, ensuring thermal efficiency while mitigating boil-off gas (BOG) risks. Adhered to LR’s Ammonia Fuel Ready guidelines and IGF Code amendments for low-flashpoint fuels. Enables shipowners to adopt ammonia (zero CO₂, zero SOx) ahead of IMO 2050 targets, positioning these VLCCs as pioneers in green crude transportation. Establishes our insulation technology as the benchmark for ammonia, methanol, and LNG applications—spanning the full spectrum of alternative marine fuels. Ecosystem Leadership: Reinforces partnerships with CIMC SOE (tank manufacturer) and Beihai Shipbuilding (yard), accelerating China’s leadership in future-fuel vessel construction.
